Clunk under passenger side
I have a clunk under my Jeep on the passenger side. It's more towards the front. I just had it in the shop and gone through and they said they couldn't find anything loose etc. Mind you this is an off-road specific shop. The only thing they said it might be is my sway bear end links. Just wanted to get some thoughts and opinions on this. The end links are new because the Jeep was lifted less than a year ago. Thanks in advance
Matt

The bushings in the control arms are all new but I'll look into it and I hear it when I hit repetitive bumps or sometimes when I'm turning.

Clunking noises are a process of elimination. Start with a big old long list of anything that can clunk on an XJ (better have a lot of paper ready), then systematically go through each component until you track it down.

hehe, mine does it too, under the drivers side, happens when turning, gets worse in 4wd.
It's so bad that I can feel it in my feed if they are resting on the floor pan, haha.
I just live with it...

check your shock nuts on top under the hood.
while you're at it, check all the shock bushings.
or as mentioned, it could just be your exhaust hitting your cross member.
since you said everything was new, check these and go from there.
also check track bar bushing and to make sure it's tight at the axle mount.

The thing is the shocks, springs, adjustable track bar are all brand spankin' new. They were put on a year ago but the Jeep sat in the garage because I was driving my Subaru. So really this month is the first time the Jeep has been driven so I have a hard time thinking its one of those new parts. It's a 3" Rough Country by the way. I'll check the exhaust next. And on top of what I said above I had a shop just torque down all the lift components.
