Clonking when turning both ways

Clonking when turning both ways
When i turn left or right there is a loud clonking noise. It's like something is locking up, it also does it when going straight but very soft and not all the time. I changed both front CV joints thinking that was the issue ,but it is not. Any ideas what it could be?
