Default clicking in steering wheel after clock spring replaced

just finished replacing the clock spring in my 1998 Jeep XJ due to the horn not working. Horn works now but there is a clicking noise when I turn the wheel. defective part or something else? Or will this go away?

When I removed and repaired my clock spring it clicked for a little while. It went away, but don't remember how long it took. I think it just needs to settle in.

Thanks for the reply. Will give it a few days - it is just annoying!
