They are the best in the business for replacements for the 0331 cylinder head.

Good service, fast shipping on a great redesigned beefed up head.

I haven't needed them for my personal XJ, but have ordered from them for others.

I put one on my 01. About 1,000 miles on it so far. Went in super easy and fit like a glove. Definitely recommend them!

Do you see any extra power? Anything feel different?

It smoothed out my idle quite a bit. Performance not really. My motor only has 160k so the valvetrain was probably still in good shape. My head wasn't cracked but I swapped it for peace of mind and I'm replacing everything else so I thought why not! Ha

I bought one for a Saturn (also had a head crack issue certain years). I'd buy from them again.

Hey now, I am a Michigander here, in Davison. My 2000 xj (4.0), got hot, as I was pulling into work one day. I limped her home (stopping and re-cooling) OFTEN. (coolant in the oil)!!!

I currently have the whole front end of the motor off, in an "exploratory surgery" Tonight, I should have the intake, and exhaust manifolds off.

Im pulling the head (to see if its cracked between the #3 & #4., or just the head gasket.

I just wanted to check in with your clearwater head upgrade (because I am going to replace mine, no matter what I find).

A "CLEARWATER HEAD" update would be super cool, Thanks.

IS THIS THE CORRECT BUSINESS?:

???

Do you replace timing chain and gear, while you were in there? Mine has 150,000 so I think I should.

Do you change the lifters\camshaft out, while you were working on the "top end"?

Im not trying to make her faster, as I have donated this jeep to my 17 yr. old Son.

I just want him to have minimal problems, with his first Jeep. (I purchased this 2000 used, and noticed it was under power loss, compared to my 1998 cherokee SPORT, AS PICTURED BELOW):

Maybe I was already losing compression.....? , or maybe I should pull that timing chain and gear cover??

Any input here, would be appreciated.

I put a Clearwater head on a Mitsubishi Montero several years ago (should have just put the money towards a Jeep). I don't know if a cylinder head can be considered beautiful, but the one I got was.

BOX WAS THRASHED

BUT PACKED VERY WELL (ZERO DAMAGE)

NEVER SAW THIS BFORE, BUT FOR WARRANTY REASONS, IF THIS HEAD GETS HOT, THEY WILL KNOW.

ONLY A FEW SMALL BURRS NEEDED TO BE CLEANED UP, AND I WAS SURPRISED, AFTER SEEING THAT BOX'S CONDITION ON MY PORCH
