How do you clear an air bound cooling system?

Drive, let cool, add coolant. Repeat. Make sure there's coolant in the overflow tank.

Get the left front wheel up on something. (A car ramp is a handy thing to have.) Run til warm, let cool. Pop radiator cap and add coolant. Repeat a few cycles.

I used to do what Remus Redbone and BlueRidgeMark said when swapping out coolant in my '00. Last year I bought the Lisle funnel kit. Thing works great. I hooked up my scanner that lets you see live data, worked the throttle from the engine compartment keeping it around 2000 rpm, and kept an eye on the funnel to be sure it always had some coolant in it. Thinking maybe 1/2 hour and was good to go.
