Cleaning gambler rims
Have some heavy corossion on rims . Is there a way to get them back to the original shine? Some have some flaking. I tried 1000 grit sand paper and some white rouge w/ no luck.

You should try some " MOTHERS" Mag cleaner with a little bit of baking soda mixed in it, I have always had great success with it on valve covers and rims

Have them lightly sand blasted, then a coat of clear over them. (will leave them with a kinda gray alloy matt Finnish). Or after blasting, You can buff them out to a shine. then a coat of clear over them. Alloy rims can be re-done. And they will look like new again. Shouldn't even have to take the tires off. JMO!
