Does anyone's pre '96 Cherokee out there have the stock cigarette lighter base that has the ring that lights up around it? If so, can someone post a pic of the wiring that's hooked up behind it or describe it. My '91 has the greenish ring around the base but the wiring was backwoods rigged when I bought it and the lighter doesn't work nor the light ring. Not even sure if its the stock unit. It only has 2 wire terminals and thought there might be three.
I know my previous '91 XJ "Laredo" had the green ring around the base of the lighter and I'm almost positive it glowed green when headlights were turned on. I just can't remember the wiring details. My new '91 was the barest base model you could get at the time. Maybe that option wasn't available with my model.

That's right. That white marking lights up. My current cherokee just has the white marking on it. The back doesn't have the insert to put the little light in. I wonder if there's a vehicle that has a ring that lights up that could be used on the cherokee. I know a lot of newer vehicles have a ring that goes around the ignition cylinder that lights up. I know its purely cosmetic but that's what I would like to have around the base of the lighter
