So i chopped my xj finaly it was kinda scary at first but its turnin out pretty cool, i think. I finished the wiring for the rear hatch today, it all works. So here it is......Wat do you think?:dunno: or  or

Looks good man! about how long did it take you from start to finish?

i really like the hatch idea! its different but still pretty cool. My only worry is how are you going to seal it? and i rivet or bolt a steel plate onto the fiberglass hatch because when you are wheeling and something hits the hatch the fiberglass wont last to long...

Although again i do like ti =]

im gonna chop the dam off another jeep and weld it in, the weather stripping will go all the way around. as for the side windows, plexiglass :)

Nice chop man how hard is it gonna be to seal the little windows in the rear?
I plan on doing the same kinda thing but with out the back latch & on my 2 door!

sparkyb34 05-14-2010 04:15 PM

Do you plan on putting any type of cage in there. Since it is a unibody the whole structure needs to work together for support.
