Default chirping/grind noise from front end?

ok, so ive noticed this noise coming from my xj. thought maybe brakes, so new pads/rotors went on, still making it. its wheel speed dependant, so the faster i go, the quicker it chirps/grinds. it sound almost like something was grinding on a brake rotor, but nothing was. could it possibly be a wheel bearing? its not rough or rumbling, its just like a ringing noise, or chirping if you will. anyone heard this before? i want to try and video it with my phone, see if i could post it up somewhere.

Does it sound like from the engine area or outside the car? or does it sound like its coming from the dash?

Driveshaft u-joints and a possible dry unit bearing. Those are my guesses without actually hearing it first hand.

x2. Those are things I would check first. Depending on the year of your XJ you may need some anti-rattle clips for those new brake pads. Could even be something as simple as the dust shield being a little loose or tweaked into the rotor. Just raise the front and start inspecting things very closely.

Ahhhh the voice of experience with front end noises. Listen and learn Joe because True had plenty of front end gremlins.
