chevy 63's. bastard pack?
has anyone ever seen these used in a cherokee for a bastard pack? i got a set for free the other day and was wondering if they could be used. would i be better off trying to trade them off for a set of s10 leaves?

In order to use the Chevy 63" lifts you will need to fab up new leaf/frame side mounts and new shackle mounts.
It's not a simple "bastard" pack, like with the S10 packs..

no i was talking about cutting the leaves and using them just as s10 leaves are used in a bastard pack.
the junkyard i'm getting the jeep from has a s10 blazer sitting right beside it with the rearend out, so i could get the springs from it easily, just dont want to have to buy something if i dont have to

cutting leaf springs is a baad idea.
Leaf spring ,like all springs are heat treated to give them their spring. If you cut them with a gas torch the heat affected zone will be come brittle. To cut spring you need to use a cutoff disc or a bimetal bandsaw. Be carefull.
