Default Cherry Bomb install??

I have an extra Cherry Bomb muffler from a truck project and figured i would see if it would fit on the jeep. Its 28" long and has 2.5" inlet and outlet, question is the factory muffler is about 2"s shorter and offset, is there a way to fit it in without much modification?
Thanks in advance!

Your local auto store should have some kind of like little extension pieces, they can can also act as a coupler and change from one size to another, because the factory exhaust piping should only be 2 and 1/4 if i remember right and you said your bomb is 2 and 1/2, you should look into those, they should fit just fine!

Any problems with not running the rest of the pipe? I figured i could do that, but i also gotta pass echeck, and make sure its not gonna damage any underneath components.

It will blow hot exhaust directly at the rear axle and gas tank, possibly causing a fire or explosion. Also you'll prolly get fumes inside the vehicle that may or may not cause u to pass out or die. Other than that, it sould be fine.

the stock muffler does have an offset, and i was wondering if you could just line it up with two angle/coupling and still the factory pipe?
or possibly take it up to a muffler shop and have them bend up a 2.5" pipe and run it to fit?

I've found that anytime i try to "rig" exhaust, it usually ends up costing more than just having it done. It usually leaks too. I would do it myself if i had the right equipment, such as a lift, welder, torches, bender, etc..

Exhaust is the one thing that i take my vehicles in for, its usually cheaper, easier, and a better end result. Just my opinion.

Thats kinda what i was thinking, anyone know what it might cost to have them bend up a 2.5" pipe from the muffler back, no tip?

that still isnt insp/emission legal......has to exit the rear behind the rear tire unless you have a truck.
