Default Cherokee Visor Question.

Ok, I know that the older model fords had external sun visor extending off the roof and over the wind shield just a bit. I was curious if anyone has ever seen the same with a jeep or not, especially a Cherokee. I have my 96 Cherokee with some KC lights and don't want to push them a foot back from the front of the roof and was curious if this was a possible idea to do so. I'm sure I would have to get one off of a Ford Explorer and machine it to fit but just curious, has anyone ever seen or heard of this? I have yet to find any in a parts catalog.

I haven't seen any product like that for a XJ. It might be a good project for you. Keep us posted if you decide to tackle it.

Never seen one on an Exploder, but I had one on my 1992 Toyota SR5.

I'm pretty sure they aren't made of metal, though, so I'm not sure how you'd machine it.

I think you can get them from Lund.

Maybe not. They don't show Jeep on their site.

Called sunvisor or moonvisor.

Moons must be the ones with lights. I had lights on my Toyota. Looked good on that truck.

I'll probably do it, just because I like the idea of having a one of a kind. Matter a fact I've only seen one other jeep with my Grill Guard and the guy I bought it off of and the other guy both lived in PA for a while!

It'll be a metal one, I'll probably just find a ford explorer since the width is about the same and use theirs and bend it in the shop to where it'll sit flush. The plastic one would break in the woods!
