Unhappy cherokee stalling

car:1986 jeep cherokee 2door 2.5 TBI 4 speed manual 4x4

About 2 weeks ago finishing it started stalling everytime I took a sharp right turn. 2-3 days ago It wasnt starting so I pulled the fuel pump out and noticed the ground cable that goes directly on the pump was burnt out, I replaced the cable and installed a new fuel filter. Today I finally got around to taking it out for a spin and its still stalling badly everytime I turn right, to make it worse I had to go up a steep muddy hill in 4L and it would just stall on me, the only way I made it up was in reverse. It idles fine and revs up fine and would just stall when I let the clutch out thats when I gave it a try in reverse and had no problems. I made sure the tank full thinking it was too low on fuel and still same problem.

any suggestions anyone?

anyone?

Im gonna pull the fuel pump out again and check for any loose or burnt wires in the entire fuel wiring system. My last resort is buying a new fuel pump, Ive never had one go out on me so I dont really know what the symptoms are.

Found this:
Talks about a possible bare wire in the tank, now that I think of it the I didnt place any electrical tape or anything over the ground wire I replaced thinking it could melt due to contact with fuel.

Also found this talking about some plastic thing in the tank?

Hi, try purging the fuel rail, you may have air in it also check the pressure.. it should be around 35psi and also the screen on the filter in the tank...Tj

Nevermind it's fixed, it has the fuel return line that was loose on the cap that seals the tank, and the entire assembly was sitting inside the tank loose due to that the return line goes into some sort of "cup"
