Default Cherokee single spark

1992 cherokee replaced spark plug wires, tps, iac, rotor, cap, igniton coil, cps and camshaft position sensor. I get one spark when cranking over in the beginning nothing after. The spark is weak. Thinking it may be the computer. Need thoughts of things to test before I go buying a computer. Jeep doesn't start use to and when it did it would idle rough. Help I've been having this issue for months and winters coming up.

Have you cleaned both ends of your battery terminals and all your ground points?

Wiring and connectors - ALL of them - and ASD relay are where I'd concentrate. The PCM operates the ignition by instructing the ASD relay to liven it up, then grounding the ignition module when it wants a spark. Sounds like a high capacitance ground and current is bled off over time (leaving it sitting).

For the connectors on the PCM, pop them off, give em a scrub with a brass wire brush, clean them with electrical contact cleaner, and use a dental pick to make the receptacle side strong again. You can find this process in https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/cr...x-tips-153657/, not sure if he has the PCM connectors but it's the same as a C101 refresh.

I agree with all of the advice above, but if you get stuck.....I'd get a salvage yard computer installed. The computer is a possibility here.

Because computers are pretty hardy, purchasing one from a salvage yard has almost always worked out for me and for MUCH less than any other source.

Good luck and keep us updated!
