So crazy question: If you wanted to buy a 'parts Cherokee' for 91/92 models - with the idea you'd grab what you needed and resell what is left, would you rather buy a 92 4x4 for $2500, or a 95 4x2 for $1500.
Parts needed: Brake System to swap into 1991 [convert from defective ABS], Windshield washer container for 1991, front bumper and grill for 1991, alternator for 1991, radiator for 1991, sun visor 'pipe' for 1991, Jeep oil fill cap for 1991, Jeep emblems for both, rear door 'shocks' for 1991, floorpans for 1992, headliner board for 1992, steering box for 1992, exhaust pieces for 1992. Also, there are good 15" tires on both. Both have 'working' A/C. One has a nice looking 'brush guard' on the front, but brand unknown.
Also, an 'option' would be to store 'some' key parts of the 'parts Cherokee', but I'd need to see the engine/drive/chasis quickly since I don't have room for 3 Cherokees.
Thank you for any thoughts.

Wow, good question: Meaning, you are smarter than me. I don't know the answer, BUT since my 92 does have the 8.25 chances are the 92 for sale does also. Also, since my 91 needs the non-ABS brake parts and has the D35C(?) axle, it makes the 92 possibly the better option if it does truly have the 8.25. Also, I realize I'm not worried about the 91 getting a 'single diaphragm' booster in place of ABS, because that is what my 92 has and it stops just great. Also, noticed the headliner board in the 92 is 'non overhead console', which is good because my 92 which needs it had the console with ZERO function and I just kept hitting my head on it. The 92 also has a perfect stock front bumper, grill, and headlight skirts I need. Darnit. This Cherokee thing is addictive.
Good food for thought. Might go look at this '92 if it stays in play. My only concern is the moral quandary of 'parting' a vehicle with potential, but I can't take on another project. Wish I could find the same vehicle Tboned low...so I could part it out and sleep at night.
