Cool 1990 Parts jeep

Will A '90 xj donor have usable parts for my "92xj? I am looking at a junker that "might" run & has a title. $50. Should I buy it?

What motors? You have to remember they changed there systems in 1991. So yes some parts will work. I have an 88 for my parts jeep and I drive my 91. Alot can be used. What are you looking to use?

Cool

well I havn't seen it but the guy who's got it said it is junk. I'm gonna try to start it. I have a "92 it has the HO motor. I think this "90 has a differant set up that way but the drive train should work. Plus I get to take apart a xj & learn how it's put togeather. I can get my tranny man to build the transmition (as best you can) for when this one gives up. Same with the rear end. Too bad it is a 2wd like mine.

I am Looking for a 4x4xj to pull my & trailer. The ramp is only 2 blocks from home:-) so it don't need to be pritty!

A lot of the hard parts will work, but the engine control system, and all of the wiring will be completely different.

You never know what little part you will need. My brake light was out when I got my 91 and it was the part where you put the bulb in so I cut it off and put the one on from my donor. lol It will save you alot of time and money having another one there to yank parts from.
