Are Cherokee & Grand Cherokee Tanks Interchangeable?

For what it's worth, ZJ skids fit '97+ XJs with the original tank, if the ZJ tank fits too you should be able to keep using it

Interesting, I do not have a skid plate. As this is my first Jeep I wouldn't have even realized it was missing if it had not been mentioned here. So I'm not sure if it would work with this or not. Is the skid plate an option that I may never have had to begin with?

I'll put together a list of the parts I used and post it soon.

Yeah skid plates were available with the Offroad or Up Country packages, most XJs did not have them from the factory.
