hey guys i have a 2000 xj sport and the motor is missfiring and it feels like its has down cylnders the head is ticking bad and when i drive it and it goes over 3k rpms its starts bucking like crazy....anyone? i am completely stumped on this one

Have you replaced the spark plugs and wires lately?? I'd probably start there.

 

no i have not and there are no wires its a coil pack

 

ticking! possible valve train problem,colapsed lifter its full of oil right

to the top i need this xj fixed by sat!

 

Take a look at your plugs,all of them pull them out and what do they look like?
Seems like it is becoming a generic answer from me on here but start with the basic maintenance things, plugs,fuel and air filters etc etc.

do you have any check engine codes? i had a similar problem, (the misfiring and bucking) from a bad MAF in my chevy. possibly the ticking is unrelated??

bad coilpack? i have 2 that work perfect if your interested 80+shipping

 

possible ticking could be spark arcking to block noy firing plug

 

just changed plugs and coil still nothing.
