Cherokee or any vehicle research web
I just added this to another thread and wanted to post it again. It would make a good Sticky...
The MSN Autos site is a wealth on knowledge. To get there on your own go to www.autos.msn.com Look for Used Car Information (not used car listings). Scroll down to Jeep, then what model you want and click GO. All years pop up showing the years for each group of years. It tells everything. Click on your year and navigate using the menus above the info for the car. To get to the measurements click on Specs and then interior or exterior. ONE MAJOR benefit of the site is in the Reliability section. Not only does it put a good, Questionable or Bad make for the different areas, but it tells you what the problem is and how much they estimate to fix the problem. It could be something that will go bad once so you might still want to get the used car and fix it. At the bottom of the vehicle reliability chart it shows all oth the years for that vehicle. There you can see if a certain year is more reliable than the rest. I think they use records from repair shops for their information. Good luck!!!
Here are the seperate links to research used cars on the MSN Autos site:
Home Page:
http://autos.msn.com/
Used Car Research:
http://autos.msn.com/home/used_research.aspx
Some examples of information it provides:
Direct link to 1998 Cherokee reliability:
http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Re...model=Cherokee
Direct link to 1995 Grand Cherokee measurements:
http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/sp...okee&trimid=-1
Direct link to 1989 Cherokee measurements:
http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/sp...okee&trimid=-1
If you're in the site and want to switch vehicles just click MSN Autos at the top and look for Used Cars.
