As mentioned, I'd personally look for another 92 or so XJ and swap all the good parts into it. If my daughter kills her 90 XJ that is exactly what I intend to do. Non-running XJs are easy to find for $500 and less.

If the unibody is not tweaked and you dont care about looks or having working pass side doors you could always cut off any metal sticking out and just drive it.

well im going to school for collision and at an estimate i would say if you can find a good shop that is going to bend you over you would be fine on prices. but it would be cheaper to do at your house with parts you can buy. but since you said the b pillar was screwed you probably have damage to your unibody even though it could be slight that is a lot of time and money to repair that damage. i would either make it a trailer queen or like i said find a shop thats not going to bend you over the hood.
