Cherokee
I'm very very new to all this. This is my first post ever on any form. Anyway I have a 93 Cherokee and I've had it for about two weeks. Took it out the night I got it and it ran finefl for the most part but it started spitting and sounded like it was missing but I was on a hill so I thought it was fuel and when I got level it quit. Well it happened again and again so everytime I just got level and turned it off for a bit ran fine after I started it back up. Figured out its not a fuel thing. I think its ignition I changed the plug wires last week but still does the same crap. I can't explian it any better besides when it gets real good and warm its spit spit and just have no power. Wont want to go anywhere sounds like its got an msd box on it. Thanks in advance for any advice

Welcome! I'm fairly new to this whole business also. Warning, It's addictive!
A really easy check:
There is a gang of wires coming up the front of the engine that run up around the manifold heat shield to the injectors. (at least there is on my 90). The edge of that shield can cut into those wires, sometimes causing all sorts of problems. Mine blew the mouse nest in the air cleaner out through my front grille. Drove through the confetti! No sign of the mouse.
Also I've had (older carborated) cars that would crap out with the nose up, because it was then to high to pump the fuel up. (bad pump or filter)
You might want a filter just on GP. I read somewhere a cps can fail hot, also a coil. You might want to try posting again middle of the day central time..Good luck, Don.

its sounds like when its under higher load its not adjusting. what makes it do that i havnt a clue. if you do repost at another time change the thread from cherokee to the problem youre having. like running rough up hill. itll give a better over all idea of the problem and some people know more about other stuff. so if you do that it helps those people find hreads they can help out on

Thanks to the both of you. Ill have to check those things out for sure. And I thought that I should have put something more to the point for the title. And it does it on level ground to it just so happened the first time it happened I was on a hill I'm lost. I'm going to change out the ignition coil thing weekend.
