hey everybody! in my 98 cherokee sport ill just be driving and my check gauges light will go on and the temp gauge goes straight up to the red line around 240...im not too sure what would cause this? anybody have this problem or any suggestions to what it could be?? thanks!

 

yes but its my voltage gauge that drops to nothing-runs fine still.
just started a day ago so I am going to do some checking soon.

 

check the temp wires on the t-state housing if there grounding out or over heating then it will make your temp gauge peg out and make the dummy light for the gauges come on
