I replaced a sensor but the check engine light still stays on and the code still comes up.
How do you clear the code?

take a battery cable off for like 10 to 15 min....but if the prob s still there it will come back on

 

If the problem has been fixed the computer will turn the light off itself after 50 or start-ups. You can also disconnect the pos cable, touch it to the neg for about 30 seconds.
If you have to do a Smog, you need to wait a couple weeks after this, wel at least here in Kalifornia.
