Default Check engine light on, no codes!
99 XJ
When I erase codes, light stays off for awhile then it is on again.
Any ideas?

I agree that this is the next step.

What type of tool did you use to check your codes? Code reader? If so, what brand? Scan tool?

I like Actron, but any unit can fail. Going to have to try another code reader to rule it in or out.
