Ok - now both sensors replaced. Jeep runs so much better. No stuttering into a stop. Plus the smell (and taste) has gone away. A lot easier than I thought. And I figure I would know by now if I had crossed the threads...
On the other hand, while under there I noticed a nice hole in my muffler. When I turned the jeep on, and took a peek back underneath to check my work, there was water dripping out of the muffler's hole. It never ends...

What size is the hole in the muffler? Many mufflers (including the ones from the factory) CAME with a small hole in the center of the muffler, the purpose of which is to drain moisture.
If it is a smaller hole and is not rust related, it is supposed to be there.
yeah - thanks again all for your help. Still running well. I will have to take another look at that muffler to see the size, seemed to me that a part of the muffler skin was peeled back if that makes sense. I'll have to look again.
Have noticed that the battery light has come on a couple times over the last two days. Not all the time, just here and there.
Happy ho ho ho.
