X2 This works good, its like a cardboard tube that wraps the #3 injector and shields it from heat.

 

I just went through the same issue myself. I replaced my plugs and took it back to get rescanned. I go an error which suggested that the problem has gone away, but the scanner could not clear the CEL.

How do I manually clear a CEL on my 2000 XJ? Will disconnecting the battery for a while work?
