Default UPDATE: "Check Engine" Help

UPDATE: Codes P0201 & P0301
Noticed a broken wire to the cylinder 1 fuel injector. Would the wire cause both codes? What would be the best way to fix the wire? Does the whole fuel rail need replaced?
see images below
Thanks!

Greetings,

This past weekend I took my stock 1999 Cherokee Sport up a semi-rough trail to a lake. It made it up fine with no noticeable issue. After spending the day at the lake and going to start my jeep the check engine light was on and was running a little rough.

When taking a looking a look under the hood, I noticed the fan cut the upper/overflow radiator hose in half. I duct taped the hose together to make it back home. I also noticed a pssh air sound coming from the area around the oil filter.

When driving back the jeep would chug a low speeds. The check engine light would also flash going up hills when hitting higher RPMs. Never overheated and It seemed to run fine when up to speed but the check engine light is still on.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
HCL

I'll definitely look into that, especially given the broken wire to the fuel injector.

Just the small overflow hose that runs from the top of the radiator to the top of the overflow tank.

Code 201 is injector circuit malfunction.
Code 301 is cylinder 1 miss fire

The broken wire will cause both of those codes. Fix that ASAP. You will have to splice in a new connector with longer leads that is broken right at the plug.
