Default Cheapest and most durable tires to buy?

Hi all,

Well, I am almost due to buy new tires for my Cherokee. The last tires I bought were Sumotomo's. They served me well and am tempted to buy them again.

I am wondering what other tires I could buy that are cheap but at the same time very reliable/durable.

I mostly drive on paved roads and go up to the Snow occasionally. I never do any off-roading.

Again, your input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

those treadrights are ok but once you add in shipping adn then go pay for mounting and balancing you aren't saving much cash..I can shop around locally and find good MT's for a total cost of about $20 more..Most shops will charge more to mount and balance tires you bought elsewhere..Do some local shopping then compare prices if bought online including mounting, balancing and shipping.

When I bought my Treadwright's, shipping was quoted to be $25 (almost a year ago) for all four tires. I actually ended up picking them up after doing a survey job about an hour from their factory. As far as mounting and balancing go, I got that done for an 18 pack of Bud Light. If you develop a good relationship with your local shop guys, you can get a lot done by tempting them with beer! Total cost that I have into my 4 30x9.5 A/T tires..... right at $220.

Not very cheap though, which the OP is aiming for, but the best tire IMO

I think you save a considerable amount of $$ using treadwright tires, even shipping them.

https://treadwright.com/ProductDetai...5%20M/T&cname=

$460 and that includes shipping, mounting and balancing.

Just four of these tires in your SHOPPING CART is $800.

Yes they are retreads. They come with a 2 year, 24k mile warranty. I have had mine for 10 months. I have run them aired down to 12psi for multiple days while four wheeling, gone on numerous highway road trips at 75mph (8-10 hours per trip) and have had zero issues with them. Tread depth is still at 15/32 (compared to 17/32 when new) and I have close to 10k road miles on them. I would absolutely recommend (and buy) Treadwright tires.
