Here in Puerto Rico this is what I heard from some crazy wheelers.
Since there is so much problems with the vaccums in old XJ's for the 4wd, what they doing is that they are taking out the vaccum motor on the front diff, they assemble the for, but rotate it 180*, so it is opposite, move the "part inside the diff as if it is on 4L and put it back.
If I dont undestand wrong, basically the eliminate the 4H and move from 2H to 4L. And forget about the vaccums.
Can somebody help be understand???

I think you are talking about eliminating the front vacuum disconnect by permanently locking the right axle shaft together as a single unit through some manipulation of the shift fork
But I could very easily be wrong, I don't understand this post that well.

Exactly that.
Already 2 different mechanics have told me different methods to do the same. They explain me, (or I understand) that what u basically do is eliminate the 4H position and stay with only 2H and 4L. 4H, will work as if u shifted to 4L. And no more worries about vaccum leaks.
My question is, what is u guys opinion???
