Default Changing a power steering hose

I am about to change out a leaking power steering hose. Anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to make this as easy as possible. I got a replacement hose out of an xj at a junkyard. Thank

Pull the airbox out and you'll have more room. If you pull the lower radiator hose off, you'll have even more room.

Mine were pretty rusty on the steering box and the nut didn't want to free up from the tubing despite a liberal bathing of PB Blaster. I ended up cutting both of the steel tubes because neither would rotate past the other.

Drain the fluid and use new power steering fluid. Mine was pretty ugly, and I think it took more than a pint.

BTW, NEW hoses from NAPA were about $35 for the pair. Oh yeah, there is an O-ring on there that you should replace if you're going to install the used hose.
