My Jeeps been acting weird ever since I took the stock muffler off , to put on my super 40.... when idling in park. I go to rev it up and it stutters , if I hold it it will shut off.. While driving.. it shifts into OD way to fast causing it to sputter and therefore I need to drop it into 3rd . While at a stop light.. its like its not downshifting. I went to give it gas and it died on me.. I hadda put it in 3rd again just for me to even move.. WTF is going on here.. People suggestes map sensors.. Dont know where it is.. Cant find it.. People say reset you computer?? How can I do that?? bc disconnecting batter terminals doesnt work what so ever... Im really frustrated with this, bc I just changed my damn muffler.. like wtf.. Any Ideas or help me reset the computer or locate map sensor, and how to check it... thanks

Don't immediately blame it on the muffler, it could just be coincidental timing. You have to treat every issue as it's own separate issue, just keep the muffler thing in mind is all.

Ok I scanned the jeep today.. only 1 reading came up, about the downstream 02 sensor not reading right. So I cleared that.. And that is obviously not the problem... Seams like the timing is off. Bc at cold start up... the jeep runs great.. it doesnt bogg when i rev it up or stumble when in drive. But when at operating temp.. It boggs out when i rev it up and stutters while in drive.. Its gotta be one of the sensors... My dad is a mechanic and has a snap on scanning tool... where it can read each sensor.. hafta wait till tomm for em to bring that home tomm.. Hopefully I can figure this out.. Can anyone tell me where the crank sensor is??? Im pretty sure I found the MAP sensor and its by the air intake???
thanks
thanks
i guess getting that code reader on there and doing a thorough sweep of the system is a great place to start! too bad the new o2 didnt clear it up. your MAP sensor is (if standing at front of jeep looking to the back) on the right side of the TB. it is a little black unit.

try dropping your tank and seeing what the inside is looking like.. could be a bad pump/filter? this was the case for me anyways; found all sorts of **** in there... sand, leaves, a spring and an old gasket, to name a few...
ugh, i replaced SO MUCH stuff too!!! IAC, TPS, you name it... good luck!
