Anyone ever use www.swengines.com ? Thinking of buying a certified used engine from them. I need a new engine for my 96 cherokee 4.0l HO. They have one with 3 year parts and labor warranty for $1095 with $75 shipping to residence. Any advice on other companys?

well is that short or long block,, it long sounds good cheaper then I can rebuild my own if you include all the machine work that has or needs to be done.. I've been thinking about rebulding my own and the cost of parts plus machine work it about $1400.

 

That is everything except alternator, p/s pump, ac compresser, etc. It is pressure checked for compression and oil pressure. Might be worth looking into. My local mechanic quoted me $2100 to put a used engine in and he wouldn't warranty it. or $2000 for a new engine not counting labor.

 

uhm i just priced together a fully performance stroker for 1200. building it myself though. 2100 is crazy for an engine swap... im puttin in an engine,350 at junk yard, for a friend over this weekend for almost nothing
