The listing states that one shoe kit is needed for both wheels which is typical. A brake shoe kit will come with two leading shoes and two trailing shoes but no hardware. FYI, the bigger/longer shoe will go to the rear.

They wrote back and said each of these kits has four shoes.

Rock Auto seems to have better prices on brake related goop too, like Permatex silicone paste. At least better than the prices at O'Reilly even with a discount coupon.

Have you checked Amazon? Dielectric grease will work fine for the slide pins, but as I type this I remember we're talking about drum brakes.

Yes, drum braked. No, just looked for this stuff and they have a good deal to drop into the same order. Was mostly concerned about the friction spots between the shoes and the back plate. Plus, already paying shipping for this order and my usual Amazon small orders end up with a shipping charge that makes regular stores competitive.

I did notice at O'Reilly that gloss black caliper paint is cheaper than high temp engine enamel, and supposed to be built for drum, caliper, etc. applications. $9 for 12 oz spray can. Not sure that bbq grill paint would work as well.
