Is the console the same for the auto and the manual transmission. I am looking for a replacement unit, But I dont see any difference in them other than The gearshift insert? Am I correct with that assumption?

does the 84 have the small one that only goes around the gear shift? thats what I have in my 88. But it has tabs around the ebrake for mounting the armest console one.

all consoles 84-96 are interchangeable. if you have the mini, you have to remove the cover from the ebrake and get the heat distributor (little plastic box) right in front of the console, although you can just go no box, its all on preference. then theres some heat ducting that goes in the console that distributes some of the heat to the rear out the vents in the back of the console. Its alot simpler than im making it out to be. Hell, i did it in mine

I'm actually going to install a center console into mine. Donor was a 1991 Cherokee Limited, mine is a 1993 Cherokee Sport. I have noticed that the donor Blower to Console duct piece is not the correct size for install into my car. Checked the Parts list & it does show a different part number for 1992-1993. Pick & Pull has exactly 1 1992 model in right now. Here's hoping it has console installed & thus the correct duct piece. If not, any one have online sources to order it?
