Question cb radios

i have a jeep cherokee and i would like to install a cb radio but i would like to hear from some of you guys as to a good cb radio you recomend and where and how did you guys mount it up i have a 91 laredo. where did you mount the antenna and where did you mount the cb itself. thanks for your input and consideration

the cobra classic 29 is a good unit and i like how rooster mounted his look at his pics for his mount

perhaps some photos would be nice if anyone happens to have some handy. i have looked at the cobra radios they seem like they are to big to mount "cleanly" i want it to look really classy not trashy.

x 2 on the 29. also recommend a firestik antenna. make sure you tune your antenna to your cb for it to work right.

does having the cb on the side off the console interfer with the passengers leg room or comfort?

i do like yours radio flyer but it wouldnt work for me i have the overhead console i was kinda thinking i would mount it in the little cubby hole below the heater controls i would cut it out of course and try and fit it in the space there

before i rebuilt my xj it had the little console to which i mounted a smaller cb- the little console ended up breaking loose! Once i did the rebuild i had already moved it to the roof and installed the cobra 29 ltd

Dont think you will have enough room there! Search the forum for cb installs

No But nobody in this house is over 200lbs either so I can't speak for all. Basically if you have a normal size passenger it will be fine there.

Stryker is right, and if your console is full size it should handle any size cb
