Hey just hooked up my Cobra 19 Ultra III, and bought an a universal magnet antena from walmart...do i need to get it tuned and where do i get it tuned?? Also I have no idea where to to place my cb?? Any suggestions/pics??? Thanks!!!

 

Get yourself a Cheap SWR meter and you can do it yourself otherwise some shop may overcharge you...Try "H & Y Electronics" on the web...Tj

 

yes it needs to be tuned, dont listen to anyone that says you dont need to tune it. You can run it untuned, but eventually it could kill your radio. Any cb shop will be able to tune it for you, even you can tune it yourself, you just need an SWR meter. Since you have a magnet antenna, place it in the middle of your roof for best ground plane and youll get good range. I used to have my cb mounted on the dash, but now I put it on my headliner
