I would like to see one in the dash!

 

thats something i might do. im not a big fan of all the spots you guys have them. so we shall see

 

I tryed to put mine where the air bag is, but never got the time to do it. Maybe I'll save it for the on board welder. LOL I forgot I'm poor.

 

go mine between the pass seat and the console.

 

I was thinking of that spot on my '93 right under the glove box?

 

mines on the pass side on the lower dash.

 

Quick and Easy:

Piece of metal (I used a thick piece of plastic from my junk bin) running from visor to visor, about 1" wide, bolt holes where the visor screws go, then used a flat headed screw to go thru the CB mount into the metal without drilling into headliner.



Been up there for about 8 months, solid and does not bounce around or vibrate. Waiting for warmer weather to drop the headliner to run the wiring.

I see alot of guys with Cobra CB's. I was looking at Midland CB's anyone had any experance with this brand I was liking them cause of how compact they are and price but what other features do you really want to have in a CB? I was looking at one of these two

i got a midland i think its just as good as my old a$$ cobra i had

 

Got mine mounted in overhead console

Pic not easy to see but is in spot on place nothing in the way

 

I would get a cobra 29 but either one of those will be fine. get a new mike (usually makers skimp on these to keep cost down) make sure you get a good antenna ( I like firestik) and get a SWR meter and tune your antenna to your radio after it is installed on your rig. plenty of good sites on tuning antenna.

p.s. don't use "goodbuddy" when on seseme street (channel 19) lol it doesnt mean what it used to!!

 

I sanded some paint off my spare tire swing out and mounted my 5' Firestick there. Seems to be grounded well. I have picked up folks a lil over 2 miles away, here the mountainous northwest.
