Default Simple fix

K.I.S.S. keep it stupid simple. Putting new bushings in one spot but not all is going to create more issues then you realize especially on these old jeeps. Simply replace it all at the same time then replace your gear box. Your gear box is located at the end of the steering shaft and connects your pitman arm to you drag link which makes your tires turn. This is the solution i have found with all jeeps then comes hubs/wheel bearings and u joints. I suggest doing it all in1 saves money n time!

I replaced all the tie rod ends, the drag link, track bar,and steering stabilizer. I greased all the ball joints, and then got the car aligned.

I was hoping all this would fix my issue completely, but it's only improved a tiny bit. What else would be the cause of this?

Steering gear its about 140 bucks at autozone. They also have a pitman arm puller for rent/buy 20 bucks it takes about an hr to replace i suggest flushing power steering lines and replacing power steering filter at that time as well and these older jeeps use LUCAS OIL POWER STEERING FLUID/CONDITIONER!

All those parts store/reman gearboxes are junk, so I've heard. And it doesn't need to be replaced if it doesn't need to be replaced. Also, it's a 4 year old thread. K.I.S.S.

Well my old 98 dodge pickup had the same sloppy steering the Same shake and I replaced the gearbox which is covered under lifetime warranty and had no more issues. Like any other mechanical part they can and sometimes will fail even straight from the manufacturer. I replaced the gear box on my 02 WJ next is the 04 WJ and 96 ZJ. I was merely trying to offer sound advice dont like it fine dont use it no skin off my back. Good luck
