Default which catalytic converter?

Alright, i have a 97 XJ, the cat is going out on it and im getting another cat, but which cat to choose? Should i go with high flow or just get another OEM? Magnaflows high flow sounds like a good choice but just wanted to check with the pros on this one? Thanks

No brainer, high flow. Your whole system is restrictive enough anyway.

well magnaflow has 2 different cats, one is 289 bucks and the other was 100. i bought the 100 dollar one cuz the 289 was dang, way to expensive. they both didn't say high flow but direct fit. it just said magnaflow on it. i mean its magnaflow, gotta be better than the oem.

I have the $100 Magnaflow on mine and I like it. I also put a magnaflow muffler right behind it. It made a difference but my oem one was pretty plugged.

almost all After market cats will be "highflow" because they are cheaply made and have less material inside verse a OEM cat....WHY?....simple. Cost.

The cat on my 98 has a o2 directly into it.....
