Hey guys I’m working on my friends jeep it’s a 2000 with 186k miles mostly stock runs great but the battery has been recently disconnected and reset. The CAT, HTR, and EVAP monitors will not turn green on my scanner. With my 96 I can disconnect the battery, reset them and they will all be back to green within a day. Maybe a couple short drives or one half hour of driving. I’ve tried the cycles like let it idle, hwy speed for 8 mins, idle for 3, city for a couple minutes, shut it off, wait 10 minutes, but still none of them are going ready. I’m thinking there may be something wrong with a sensor or something I’m not sure. I’ve checked all vacuum lines I’m stumped at the moment. It runs real good but these monitors won’t get ready and she needs to have it smogged. Any ideas?

They finally went green today but a code did pop up. P0442 small EVAP leak. I already replaced a few cracked hoses but I just bought a new gas cap hoping thats the problem. I’ll keep checking for leaks
