Cat. convertor question???
On a 1989 with a 4.0 that would be used OFF ROAD ONLY!The cat. is falling apart and needs to be removed/replaced.If it was removed would it cause any negative affects?I've seen this done on other vehichles and performance was better.I'm just wondering how the Renix system would react. Thanks

it is illegal to remove a cat from a vehicle that came equipped with one from the factory. you could actually see a performance loss, and the exhaust noise would be greater.

the law is in place to protect not the roads, but the earths ability to keep the sun from killing you, take your cat off, ill book you a flight to burn in the sun.

Here I will chime in on this one. It does not matter what you use it for if it came from the factory with one you have to run one. It's a federal law so no matter what state you live in you must abide. Another thing it is against the forum rules to even discuss this so drop it and choke up the cash or park it.
