Is this a casting flaw or a crack in my 231?
Like the title says I'm unsure if this is a casting flaw or a extremely straight crack. Regardless I'll get some better photos and take a closer inspection after I get it and the transmission out. I just wanted some other people's opinions.

Likely a casting flaw. Superficial crack or surface defect. My 231 has poor surface finish and some superficial cracks. If the crack isn't seeping, it doesn't penetrate the the entire casting.
