Default caster adjustment

I have a 95 cherokee that I just did a 3 1/2" rough country lift with new control arms. I took it to a buddy to put on 31x10.5 tires and do an alignment. He got the toe correct but the caster is at 10.3 degrees. He told me there wasn't any shims in it and didn't do anything about it. Do I have to add shims to get down to 7? Or do I have to go back to my stock control arms that are shorter?

When I did the first lift on my MJ I had this problem. My lift had gotten packed with the incorrect lowers. They were straight and I ended up needing the ones with the slight bend to them. They sent me the right ones and all was good. Have you contacted the place you purchased the lift and let them know the issue?

Unless you have adjustable lower or upper control arms...you will hardly ever get the caster correct.............

For a lift that small the adj. Uppers only should be fine. But rc shouldnt sell something that wont work.

My kit only came with lowers. They measure 16 1/4 center to center bolt. I was told that these were the correct ones for this kit. My original ones measure 15 3/4. I took off the rough country and put the original ones back on and was looking at the axle and it really seemed to be sticking out of the passenger side pretty far. I took the track bar and moved it back from the hole that I drilled into the factory location. Now the caster is still bottomed out but looks good and it now drives nice and smooth other then alittle drive shaft vibration every now and again. I'm just happy the death wobble is gone
