My cargo light has never worked so I pulled it apart and found that the switch was melted inside. Went to the local U-pull it and looked for a new one and found that the few that I could find where all melted. Anyone have the same problem and/or a fix for it.

 

I had the same thing happen. I just purchased a new cargo light and plug from a member here, and now it works fine.

 

Mine was melted too. I replaced it with a good used one and no more problems yet.
