Cargo light doesn't work when replaced.

My rear cargo light was out so I replaced it and it still doesn't work. What should I do?

Check the fuses?

Is it both lights or just the rear one?

bad ground on that light if only the rear light is out. does it come on when you open a door?

Are you sure the switch at the light isn't in the off position? Press on the lens. I can turn mine off & on that way.

Don't laugh but i just discovered this a couple days ago. I was trying to fix the rear hatch light but it wouldn't come on no matter what I tried or replaced. Then....someone mentioned what you said......and it turned on.

I had no idea it was a press-on light. lol I hope this happened to the OP too cuz i won't be the only one

My '92 and '87 have a black button on the side to turn it off completely or on to work with other interior lights.

Newer ones don't have a switch like our older one do, but the cover is the on/off switch just press on or off as needed.
