Can't Tell If Engine Has Been Swapped/Rebuilt
So I purchased my most recent XJ last October. The owner knew nothing about it other than it needed some work they were not willing to do. That aside I have fixed almost everything that is not functioning. One thing I do notice is that the oil pressure I very high for the mileage. I am sitting at 50psi with 224000 miles. This leads me to think the engine was swapped or rebuilt before. Is there any way to tell if that is the case without pulling the thing. The owner before the one I had bought from had replaced a lot of things like alternator, fuel pump, and starter recently. Transmission and engine oils were translucent when I bought it and I know the previous owner had not done anything other than trash the seats. Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Thanks,
