2000 Jeep XJ
I'm trying to either clean & fix, or replace, my rear wiper motor. I can't get the motor out, which appears now to only be held in by the fact that the wiper blade arm assembly is still on the shaft on the outside.
I removed the inside trim panel, removed the two bolts that appear to hold the motor, removed the nut that holds the shaft from slipping inward.
That appeared to be all that is holding things up, other than the wiper arm assembly. Now how do I get that off? I don't see a clip holding it, or any other screws/nuts.
I have Googled, but suggestions I found seemed to not give an answer that is applicable.

Now I feel dumb. I figured it out.
The answer was that there is a thin black plastic sheath / trim piece wrapped around the end of the rear wiper arm assembly. Carefully pull on it (seems fragile) and it slips off. Once that is out of the way, there is a nut holding the arm on. I removed that nut, then used a larger screwdriver as a fulcrum to pop the arm off.
Sorry for the post, I'd delete the topic if I could.
