Can't figure out stalling issue ...please help!
Ok I've done everything I can think of. Every morning the my 01 XJ barely starts and then the idle drops and stalls out. The weird thing is that if I keep on the gas and drive about a half a mile or more, the problem goes away.
I just replaced all spark plugs (NGKs) AND the coil boots. I also did a total coolant flush and fixed an oil-leaking valve gasket.
I don't know what the next thing to test is and how to do it? Where do I go from here? I think the battery is fine because it always starts.
Any ideas folks? Thanks

I attached a link for you. Its an easy repair. Google search IAC jeep cherokee and you will finds lots of info on this. I have replaced my IAC, TPS, and MAP sensor and cleaned my throttle body. I have little to no mechanic abilities so you will have no problem doing this. There is a picture of the Throttle body with a diagram of where each sensor is located. You will have to remove the throttle body to get the IAC off but you will want ot remove it and hand clean it. Make sure you do not tighten the screws holding the throttle body down to much, they snap easy. In fact I would go to the parts store and get a new throttle body gasket and some rtv (gasket sealer) before you do this so you can replace the gaske and seal it all up nice and clean. No air leaks

Don't be so sure of your battery condition.
Stalling is an extremely common symptom of a marginal battery.
And YES, you can have a battery that is strong enough to start the engine, but marginal enough to give the engine management system fits.
LOAD TEST your battery. Any parts store will do this for you for free and load testing is the only accurate way of determining battery condition.
Could be something else, but you gotta start here.
