Can you make a snorkel high flow?
Hey i have a ARB snorkel on my jeep and i wanted to do some simple intake and exhaust mods for better mpg's, but i already have a snorkel. Is there any way i can make it flow faster for more efficiency? All i can think of is put one of those $40-$50 K&N high flow filters in there, but do those things really make htat muhc of a difference? Maybe i dont even need to, i figure a snorkel is essentially a cold air intake in a way?

One thing to remember when doing intake modifications is what goes in must come out. If you mod your intake to takes gobs of air, you have to have an exhaust to release all of it as well. Your snorkel takes in fresh clean air and that's good. The k&n filter does allow more air flow but also more dirt/dust. It's been talked about alot recently about how users of k&n filters find their intake tubes dusty after a while. I'm one of them
As for the dent in your exhaust, i don't have one so you shouldn't. I wonder how it happened in that location. I have a HUGE dent on the exhaust pipe right under the bellhousing but that's from my big hammer to gain clearance for my skid plate.

I actually bought the K&N high flow air filter. For the price it is up to you, but the difference in throttle response is noticeable. From past experience they r worth the money.
