Can someone please tell me what this is?

Guys I just had my 2000 Jeep in for service. Was getting into it yesterday and saw this tube hanging from the front end.. Can someone recognize it and tell me what it is?

looks like the vent tube for the front axle. I believe it goes on the top left side of pumkin.

Thanks. Any idea on what could have dislodged it? Can it be just reinserted?

Put it back in and see if its tight and stays in. You might have to get a new plasic end. Maybe you hit some deep snow and knocked it out.

Should go back in, what kind of service did it have?, the top end is attached behind the head in the engine compartment, make sure its still attached there as well.
